Conrad Gamble is a writer, poet, and performer.
In 2017 he launched (non poetry): ‘For the Love of London’ – ‘What makes London great by those who make it great”. Available in Waterstones, Oliver Bonas, Somerset House, Foyles, The V&A and Amazon.
His debut film ‘Thunder Before Lightning’ coinciding with the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth is coming at the end of the year.
He curates a monthly poetry night, ‘Ear Smoke – night of words in flight’ which brings to together musicians and poets. It was started at a French restaurant in Hackney and has moved across London now settling in with a residency at Laylow by the Trellick Tower.
Last year Ear Smoke performed at Sunday Papers Live, The Curious Arts Festival, Wilderness, Waddington Custot Gallery, The DOT Project, Hoxton Docks, Petersham Nurseries and the SVA in Stroud.
He has been commissioned to write poetry for ‘The Book of Everyone’, ‘Suitcase Magazine’, The Listeners Project and the London Spoken Word Anthology amongst others.
He has performed at Sunday Papers, Live Secret Cinema ‘Dead Poets Society’, Somerset House, Blacks Club, the Cheltenham Poetry Festival as well as abroad in the Island of Obanjan in Croatia, Burgundy, Barcelona and Tuscany.
In year Ear Smoke has performed at Galeria Hilario Galguera in Mexico City.
